This really makes me angry, I can't even get insurance that I can afford let alone free medical services! I have lived here all my life,worked hard and still can't get things that a person has the right to have, but, an illegal can get it-this just isn't right and something really has to change in this country. We should not be involuntarily subsidizing these people. Yet, this is the USA and we will not let people die in the streets. So we are essentially going to go bankrupt unless we find a way to seal the borders and deport.
One day you (an American citizen, taxpayer for life) will go to an ER expecting treatment, but you will die because the place will be overrun with illegal immigrants. That's what I think of this.
Did you know that already, they say 80 US hospitals have closed because of too many indigent (non-paying, welfare) patients.

I think it's disrespectful on the part of the government to the actual Americans and legal immigrants. It's like saying to them, we don't care about you. If you can't pay for your healthcare, it's your problem. There are millions of AMericans who have no health insurance becasue they can't afford it and they don't qualify for the free programs. I think it's a slap in the face to these people when illegals come for illegally who already do not have any respect for our laws and then they're allowed to get all the government assitance while Americans go without. I think it's a disgrace.

you mean 'anchor baby' and so forth, and the way Medicaid was set up to provide for illegal aliens...that's a tough one. There's a humanitarian side to it, but you have to ask how humanitarian it is not to build hospitals in your own country to take care of your own people and just expect the neighbors to take up your slack...
I think we should send the bill, registered mail, to Mexico for every one of their citizens that gets care through the US medical system in any way. Make Mexico financially responsible for their own people, and they'll have that fence finished by Thursday...

I work in the healthcare field and I see my hard earned tax dollars getting wasted because these people come in and REFUSE to learn english, REFUSE to come here legally and REFUSE to go through the proper channels for medical care, education, etc. I wish all Illegals were shot dead. Watch our Economy boom!

It's horrible. I wish our government would do something more constructive to resolve this issue. And what is it with people blaming liberals? I'm liberal and all my family and friends are liberal Democrats and we don't like the illegal immigration problems either. It's the Republicans that are keeping them here with their corporations hiring illegals to work for them.

I've been putting off having children because we can't really afford it. Maybe I should just go for it, and charge it to the gov't as well. I'm really tired of watching people (not just illegals) getting handouts that really don't need or deserve it.
