I'm referring to children that scream, talk loudly, and run around. They're parents ignore it and if you talk to them about it they threaten you. Why is it okay for them to do that?

i guess because they can't find a babysitter but I do wish they'd just stay at home. no offense people, but I'd like to enjoy a meal and a movie sometime.
we always ate in the car and went to the drive- in.

Because they have forgotten or were never taught basic simple MANNERS. There is a generation of truly crappy parents today that are wrecking their children in the name of the childs self esteem and out of fear that if they discipline at all- their child will not love them. These parents do not care about you and your dining experience. I would complain to the management. Also ask not to be seated next to noisy kids when the hostess is picking your table.

KIDS WILL BE KIDS AND THEY LIKE TO TALK. ALSO THERE ARE SOME PARENTS WHO ARE BETTER WITH THEIR CHILDREN THAN OTHER PARENTS. A PARENT WHO CARES, LETS THEIR CHILD KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG AND HOW TO ACT. IT'S SO NICE TO SEE THEIR FAMILY'S OUT.

They could want their kids to have fun or they could try to teach them to have better manners. The best way to teach a child manners is through actual hands-on experience. Noisy kids have to learn to control themselves and the places you mentioned above are good places for that to happen.

These people love their children and feel they will learn how to interact in society better than if they are duct taped to their beds and left alone for 16 hours at a time...

restaruants are fine to take them to! my son is loud and we still take him with us to eat because hes our son we arent gonna leave him with a babysitter to make pepole like u happy! and with theaters i dont know y they take loud kids there thats a place that requires for pepole to bequiet unlike a restaruant where its noisy all the time......

It's not so much that they bring the kid's, it's that they dont keep them situated and quiet...comes from bad training at home...

Good question!! They also let their kids make huge messes
(i.e. crackers & food on the floor) and don't clean them up.
