I have a horrible wisom tooth growing up under another tooth, which is causing excruciating pain as it is trying to push my other tooth out. I want to know has anyone ever pulled out any of their teeth themselves? I am completely broke and cannot afford a dentist, the tooth is loose a tiny bit already. Help! I'm in pain and can't sleep!

I live in australia where you have to pay for all dental services. There is a service for people on welfare but in my area there is usually a wait of a few weeks to see them

I would get on that waiting list and in the mean time get something to dull the pain, there are all sorts of toothache medicines. Don't' try to do it yourself, beside the obvious horrible pain that would be involved you could also end up with an infection and that may be worse than what you are going threw now. Good luck to you.

Trying to take out your own wisdom tooth is not a good idea. The problem will not go away and will probably get worse. You need to seek treatment from a clinic. Some areas have clinics that base the fees own your income. Try to locate one of these clinics, if not work with a dentist on a financial plan. Pain and lose of sleep will affect the rest of your life, work, relationships ect....

I've done it before.... but only once it was already loose.
If the top one isn't loose.... and you really can't afford a dentist... I'd suggest waiting it out until it does loosen...and taking painkillers where possible.
Once it gets loose enough to wiggle .... just pinch it with your fingers and thumb regularly and wiggle it around. It will be uncomfortable and may even be painful, but that will help it along.
You only really want to totally try and get it out once you can get your fingernails partially under it. If your fingernails are strong enough then you can then forcefully wiggle it back and forth and twist it and jerk it about like a crocodile ripping its prey apart...... and it should eventually come out (typically with quite a lot of blood) ..... It will hurt, and it will feel VERY weird to have got it out.... but it'll heal up soon enough and your problem will be over.
Two recommendations though: Do NOT try forcing it out before its loose.... and do NOT try using pliers or any other kind of gripping tool. You need to use your fingers in order to be sure exactly what you're doing and to avoid damaging your other teeth.

FROM WHAT YOU ARE DESCRIBING, MOST LIKELY WHAT IS HAPPENING IS THAT A SECOND MORAL IS PUSHING A BABY TOOTH OUT OF THE WAY. YOU MENTIONED TAT THIS TOOTH ON TOP OF THE OTHER TOOTH,WHICH FEELS LOOSE. UNLESS YOU ARE 17-23 YEARS OLD, YOU WON'T SEE A WISDOM TOOTH. AN ACTUAL WISDOM TOOTH WILL NEVER FEEL LOOSE. IF YOU'RE UNABLE T SEE A DENTIST, TRY EATING SOFTER FOOD -- YOU'RE ACTUALLY TEETHING.

you might not want to do that because even though you only see a tooth above the gum line the root of the tooth can be over and inch somtimes longer especially back teeth .and the probability of getting an infection is very high.and you will still be in bad pain.and then it will effect your over-all health (blood poisoning ) go to a local clinic . if you cant pay and can prove it alot of times your cost will be VERY minimal and they will let you make payments..orajel works goodincase you go that route

Are their any research facilities there that test out pain medication? We have a place here in Texas called Scirex that pays you to have your wisdom teeth pulled and then test the pain meds.

Holy cow! No I haven't. But if it needs pulled, I'm sure it would cost less than having to "cut" them out. I would definately go to a dentist for this. They should work with you since you're uninsured!
