I know it's used regularly in Byzantine Catholic services, and also, i think, in Orthodox and Roman Catholic ones.

Aspergil or aspergillum. And the vessel containing holy water into which the aspergillum is dunked and refilled is called an aspersorium.

it's called an aspergillum.

some Catholic churches use a small tree branch instead of the aspergillum to sprinkle Holy Water on the congregation.
