well i don't believe in hell so i'll use a similar question.
If a man kidnapped your brother and sister and abducted your mother grandmother and father, and they were being tortured and he said that if you take their place, they'll all go live in florida in a huge house with free food. Would you do it?

My answer:yes

I would do it. If that's all it took to keep my whole family from pain, oh yeah. I would make the sacrifice and then maybe after I made a sacrifice that huge jesus would realize that I belong in heaven too and take me also. that's the kinda stuff that happens in good movies ha ha, even if I knew there was no chance of that I would still do it.

The notion that Heaven is perfect would be defiled by the thought of my family being tortured in Hell. Conversely, Hell would be a rather ironic place if I got there on a good deed. I'd probably do it, but I'd like to think God would intervene for me, knowing my decision.

This is an interesting foil to a question I asked a while ago. The gist of my question was this.

Say you died young (20s) and went to heaven and had it confirmed that you needed to believe in Christ to go to heaven. A bunch of your friends and family are atheists, Muslims, etc. They're all good, moral people. Would you plead their case to God if given the chance?

The responses I got mostly said no, they wouldn't. However, here are people who are knowingly condemning themselves to hell forever, shunning the gift of heaven God is presenting to them. I personally find this extremely hypocritical.

I wonder if these same people (the ones who said no to my question) would trade their souls once their friends/family had died and gone to hell.

I wouldn't be surprised to have satan present me a bargain like that, because he would like to have me in hell no matter what. I wouldn't believe it.

The other part, with Jesus confirming the deal, is too imaginary for me to answer.

You should pray for your grandmother.

Edit: if you really have such a repeating dream, you should also pray to God to keep you from this dream, unless it's true (which I doubt).

Most people might say yes: We accept all sufferings to save our loved ones.
But where there is Christ, that place is heaven, why should I hesitate?
How satan has the power to keep people away from Christ?
In truth, satan is non-existent.

no i would not.
Rom 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
it is sad but they are answering for what they did and if heaven is my reward for the things i have done i don't believe my family would want me to change places and i would not want to. i would not be sad in heaven.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
all our hurt both physical and mental will be all gone in heaven for all eternity.

this may sound harsh but it is true :Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

i want to go to heaven and i will not trade places with anyone if were possible. we all have Gods word to obey and follow what each of us does with that opportunity is up to him or her and it must be done on this side of eternity.

Never make a deal with the devil

2006-11-03 09:10:37 · answer #8 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Jesus would never accept such a deal...You're saved by your faith in Jesus and no one can save you by his/her faith as you cannot save anyone....Stop torturing youself with such questions, you'll never grasp how heaven and hell work, this is beyond yourhuman understanding. God is so much bigger than that....

First, I would slap myself awake and realize that I was dreaming and neither Satan nor Jesus existed...but seriously, I would not sacrifice my soul, something that valuable, for anybody save myself.
