In the EU there are a huge number of tax treaties with Britain with regards to paying taxes. Normally though the Maastrecht treaty signed by the 15 core economic countries allow person to work and live in their country for 182 days paying taxes in the UK before transferring over to the local system. Since british taxes are by far lower than our European neighbours this is a good thing. But the fact remain you eventually need to pay taxes at the local rate. The American system is peculiar though and I think it was created to allow Americans to work locally in Europe for an unlimited time and not pay local taxes, this I think is one of the sweeteners European countries have to attract US investment as well as special status in corporate taxes. So in a way its a benefit to all americans who would otherwise pay 50% plus taxes in Europe and a heavy social security payment on top

If your income comes from a British Employer it doesn't matter where you live you will be taxed before receiving it! As for other British Taxes i.e VAT you pay that in with the price of goods you buy in this country so have to pay it whoever you are.
I dont see why you should have to pay a tax in the USA unless your employer is American! But I dont understand a lot of USA Laws anyway! They change from state to state!

I'm not sure I agree; after all, taxes are meant to pay for things like the NHS, schools etc, if you're not living here then you're not going to be able to access those services, so why should you have to pay tax?
However I do agree that the loopholes should be closed, so that the Beckhams etc of this world don't get out of paying what they should in taxes.

If you reside in the UK for 90 days or more you are liable for tax on any earnings, regardless. I don't think pensioners should be taxed on the few pounds they might have over and above the ridiculously low personal allowance.

I just wish we would tax the rich more fairly, IE more.
Me and David Beckham should not pay the same 40% income tax, and he doesn't pay it all, as his accountant gets him off a lot of it.

you will possibly be resident in 2 places. you're, relatively, a uk Resident (many times resident) and uk abode until you will stay in China completely (is it extra desirable than 3 years or something?) and provide up your uk abode (provide up all hobbies in uk and not come back). in case then you definately grow to be chinese language resident you pays chinese language taxes and none in uk. in case you shop uk Domicicity then you definately are susceptible to tax on international earnings (if chinese language tax is paid then you definately won't pay uk tax besides decrease than double taxation contract). while you're non-uk abode then you definately can decide for to pay tax on a remittance foundation (provided which you deliver it into the united kingdom) P.S. i'm no expert in this and that i think your organization's HR people would be waiting that might assist you.
