I have a recipe that calls for 11 1/4 oz. flour, 4 oz. butter, and 3 oz. water. How do I convert that into cups, tablespoons and teaspoons? Thanks in advance!

There's a converter online. Try it:

For reference, 4 oz butter is one stick. 3 oz water is 6 tbl.

Flour is done by weight, and you can figure there's about 4-5 oz of flour per cup. I'd say use 2-1/2 cups of flour.

11 1/4 oz flour = 3 cups + 7 1/2 tablespoons
4 oz butter = 1 stick
3 oz of water = 6 tablespoons

4 oz butter is 1 stick from a 4 stick package
most liquid measuring cups have oz on it but 1/4 cup is 2 oz and 1/2 cup is 4 oz and 3 oz is a little more than 1/3 cup
flour is a little tricky for me because it's done by weight
Hope that helps!

Hi, 1 cup is approximately equal for 8 oz. So, it's easy.
