And you say that children are "only kids" and don't know any better. However, you use the exact same logic to justify your belief in your imaginary sky-pixie, that children do to justify thiers.
And they have an advantage over you, they actually have evidence to back up thier belief. Santa leaves them presents, the Easter bunny leaves them eggs and candy, the Tooth fairy takes thier old teeth and leaves money behind...
You on the other hand, have no evidence whatsoever.
So why disbelieve one type of fairy and believe another?

Kim,
Re-read the question. Or get someone with an education above the third grade to explain it to you. K?

Carol,
Um, you DO realize that the sole purpose of religion is to make money off of the stupid and gullible right?
Don't believe me? Take a look at the collection plate next time you're wasting your time in church...

You make a very good point .
The believers have a commandment that says ," thou shalt not bear false witness ".
That means lying .So the believers are automatically guilty of breaking this commandment by Lying to their children and keeping Santa ,Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy, "LIE" going .Right ?
This is so hypocritical of them to put down others for not believing ,yet all they do is LIE and make excuses for these lies.

Well, I can clearly explain that.
Firstly, as a Christian, I do believe in the Almighty. So, do not describe him as our 'imaginary sky-pixie'. That's being discriminative and plain rude. You have no right to insult others religions and beliefs, it is a right that all people have. So, don't use that, or you'll get reported by an angrier answerer. Really, it makes you seem like a douchebag.
Next, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus do not have reliable evidence. We all know it's not true. You say the evidence for Santa is the presents under the Christmas Tree? Oh, well we all know that the parents do that, and if we have children, we'll do the exact same thing. So, Santa Claus isn't real, there is no true proof. The Easter Bunny? Parents again. So obvious. And don't even bring the Tooth Fairy in the discussion. See, the kids can easily be won over, as we have real evidence they do not exist.
As for God, think of all the people that believe in him, of the witnesses that were there to see him when he came back form the dead. And, there are all the sacred texts, such as The Holy Bible, which to say that this religion is true. And , if you would contradict me by saying, 'Oh, well there are other religions, then aren't they real?', then I can explain that as well. Really, all the religions have something in common. We all have Gods and goddesses (it depends on how many and what gender on the religion), and they all have some evidence. So, there you go. It's obvious, your question really makes no sense. Really, we can all say the imaginary Santa, Tooth Fairy, and Easter Bunny are made up, but God can be proven that existed, or Jesus Christ.

I'm not really religious myself, but I think a big chunk of religion has to do with a desire to believe in something higher than you. It's the idea that in a way someone else kind of runs things. That's what characters like the Easter bunny and Santa are for. They give children someone to look forward to, along with the day itself. You said that Santa leaves present and the Easter bunny leaves eggs and candy, but you have to know that those two are not the ones doing it. I find it hard to belive in the idea that this world and everything in it is put here for me by my parents. Candy and present are easier to accept, especially when it becomes my job to take over that for my children.

The difference in the made up bunny and the satan claus is the devil himself used people in order to keep their minds off of what is true and real and that is the Almighty God.
He don't want them to know that the Almighty God is Real and that God loves them and will forgive them and give them eternal life and peace.
Everyone knows that the candy comes from your mom and dad, and so does the toys at Christmas, also your mom and dad get that tooth from under that pillow and replace it with money and throw that tooth away.
God sent Jesus as a free gift (born on Christmas day) to all mankind, because we all are (were), sinners. Why else is that day called Christ-mas.
The gift which is Christ Jesus came for the specific purpose to give his life as a ransom for many. In comes Good Friday and Easter Sunday. He was brutally beaten and put to death on the cross of Calvary on Good Friday. He came back from the dead on Easter Sunday. His blood was shed for all mankind (whether you want to believe in him or not, that don' t change the fact that it happen), because without the shedding of blood there is no cleansing of sins.
My evidence has been proved over and over through Scientist and the word of God the Holy Bible also is the main undisputed, grounded, sound, infallible proof.
Yours on the other hand is an imaginable confused delusion
being planted in children little innocent unsuspecting minds and hearts.
It's the first stage of how we as adults teach and start our kids out as liars and believing in lies (satan claus/Easter bunny).
Don't even mention that fake tooth fairy.
After all, Almighty God made man, and he therefore designed the body in a form that the teeth regrow at a certain stage.
I do hope and pray that God reveals himself to you in a mighty way that will cause you to stop believing in the make believe satan claus, Easter bunny and the no tooth giving fairy.
May you come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, before it's too late.

One hole in your logic, Santa did not come back from the dead and show himself to over 500 witnesses to prove he was alive again (neither did the Easter Bunny).
We have circumstantial evidence that Jesus existed, and that he came back from the dead. Not an airtight case, true, but contrast that with the fact that there is circumstantial evidence that Santa and the Easter Bunny do NOT exist, and none to suggest that they do.
--------------------------------------------------------
...Frank Morrison, a British lawyer of the 1930s, undertook an expedition to collect circumstantial evidence to disprove the resurrection. Such evidence, of course, is admissible in all courts of law in civilized countries to prove or disprove events of which there are no living eyewitnesses. When he analyzed the evidence, he reached a stunning conclusion: The resurrection had actually taken place! Morrison presented his case in his book, "Who Moved the Stone?"
Another factor worth considering is the character of the disciples. They were eleven cowardly men who shut themselves in a room after the crucifixion because they were afraid. Yet what galvanized them into action so that within their own lifetime, much of the then known world could hear the message of Christ? Some of them paid for this message with their lives. Would they have done so if the resurrection were a hoax?...

I see some human beings right here say their mum and dad never allowed them to have faith in Santa yet individually i think of this is undesirable parenting because of the fact they in all probability additionally indoctranating their youngsters into their faith, because of the fact Santa and the Easter Bunny basically being quite exciting right into a youngsters existence and gaining awareness of they no longer genuine of their own time enables a toddler see that faith is made up of they decide for to have faith that.

Because I go with my heart, not what some random person the is "tah coolness" tells me to believe. If you can prove to me that there is NO higher being, then I might consider looking into changing my beliefs.Just like if I could prove that God was real to you,you would consider changing yours.
A wonderful question to be given to you-why are you only saying this about Christians? Why aren't other theists asked this same question?

I am a born again Christian, and there is not such thing as the easter bunny, or santa. Those two things were made up for the sole purpose of making money from the sales of toys, and merchandise. I know God exists and I am in no way obligated to prove anything to you.
.Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
I place all of my confidence and faith in God and none in man.
