your body would reject most of the ingrediants, but I think the estrogen can cause mood swings just like in women

If a man takes one pill, not much will happen. Perhaps he might feel funny, or show maybe some more feminine characteristics (like slight breast/pectoral growth, for example) but it will go away after a short while. If taken on a regular basis, a man will show signs of becoming more feminine looking, and will start changing his body chemistry. And the effects will last longer because of the buildup of artificial hormones in his body. He probably would not be able to produce viable sperm (and perhaps not even have a sex drive), because the testosterone in his system is being counteracted by the estrogen and progesterone.

So what happens in essence is that a man starts to become physically more womanly in taking of birth control pills. One will not have much of an effect, but regular taking will.

Since I don't know why this question is being asked, let me say that if a man is contemplating this to try and effect some type of change to become a woman or something else of the sort, don't. Body chemistry is a delicate thing, and there are some very serious permanent health effect risks that can result from non-professional attempts to rebalance any hormone, but especially sex hormones. It's never a good thing to play with hormones on a direct basis, but if someone feels they must, they should go to the doctor and talk to him/her first.

Absolutely nothing....in preventing pregnancy that is. Why would you want to take the pill? It is designed for women not for men. Condoms are for men not the birth control pill. The pill makes the woman's body think that they are pregnant so they do not ovulate to cause a pregnancy. So you can see that a man taking the pill would do absolutely nothing in preventing pregnancy.

Well Birth Control is nothing but Hormones!!!! So if a guy accidentally takes one just one time, nothing really big will happen!!!!! But doctors give men who want to become women birth control pills so if you take them on a regular basis you're telling your body to grow female characteristics!!!!!

Well first of all he won't get pregnant! It would depend on if he was taking them everyday or if for some reason he just took it once. I'm not sure on the long term effect of a man taking a pill containing progestin, and estrogen and not sure what his reasoning would be for taking them. Like any medication you should always talk to your Dr before taking them.

Well I would say since you don't have a uterus to have release more estrogen to block an EGG from implanting itself on the lining (of said uterus) that nothing would happen.

B/C pills have been around for over half a century. In all that time don't you think one or two guys did what you are thinking of doing?

They have a male birthcontrol pill that decreases sperm production. But as for him taking the female pill, that causes ovulation to stop and goes in and prevents the fertilized egg from attatching to the uterus. So a male taking it is pointless.

PS My son's dad climbed up on the fridge and ate an entire bottle of birthcontrol pills. When he was 2. They pumped his stomach. But it didn't affect him none, because 16 years later we created our baby....

If you take it couple of times, you will get the runs and vomit.
If you take it on regular basis, it will slightly increase your chest, decrease your libido, and may make you lethargic (the pill is very similar to the hormonal therapy that they give before sex change operations).
It will not significantly decrease your sperm count, so it will not protect you from pregnancy. Unless you want to run to the bathroom every 5 minutes and get male boobs, do not take it.

Do you mean a woman's pill or the new male pill? If you're talking about a woman's pill, I understand it's full of hormones so you're probably grow breasts and desire penis.

it just means you will have more eostrogen in your blood. this could lead to you growing, um, some bigger boobs and other feminie characteristics. bad news is, with genetically modified foods, men are getting a lot more eostrogen than they should, so these things might already be happening.. think about the metrosexual??
