your boyfriend can tell you whatever he wants to, and you can listen to his reasoning and either agree or disagree with him. just remember that you make the final call!

I wouldn't call it improper etiquette but I would call it controlling behavior. Get out now! Next he could be telling you when you can and can't go out.

It's improper as well as indication of a deeper problem. He may be a very controlling person. You might want to think about leaving him.

It's improper for him to tell you what to do in any situation. He does not have the right to tell you what to do period. He does not own you.

It depends on how often he does it and how he says it. It's one thing to say "Why don't you wear that new floral dress?", and another to demand you wear whatever he picks out everyday.
