Are you being as honest as you can be when you do?
Are you changing your mind when you learn something different than what you've been taught?
Are you "searching the scriptures daily whether those things are so" when you hear someone teach?

You can't because the "word of truth" (assuming you are referring to the Bible) is so open to such a wide diversity of interpetation that one can rationalize or "divine" nearly ANYTHING from it. Look at the differences between Catholics, JWs, 7th Day Adventists, and Southern Baptists. Each of these faiths has dogma that is very different from one another, and there isn;t a scrap of evidence anywhere to hint which one is "the truth".
I see a lot of people saying to just "follow the Word/heart" and you will find "the truth". The huge problem with that is that the human "heart" (or intuition, or subconsciouos, or whatever) is not uniform in any way. What "speaks the truth" to one person may be Islam or Buddhism, while another person may graft themselves to a liberal Christian church or Scientology.
Contrary to what many Christians claim, there is no inborn magical sense that humans have to recognize any kind of inborn "truth" beyond the needs for survival. No instinct that alerts us to the "True Word" when we read it. A person's reactions to a particular religious work will depend on their upbringing, culture, personality, personal politics, and ego. Nothing more.

If you continue to study the word of God, and keep praying to Him as often as you can in your day, God will open up His word to you, rightly dividing the word of truth.
To rightly divide the word means to fully understand what God is saying to you.
To rightly divide-From a compound of G3717 and the base of G5114; to make a straight cut, that is, (figuratively) to dissect (expound) correctly (the divine message): - rightly divide.

Grace(not Law) unto you, and peace(not division),
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Many(deceived by many shall come to deceive, and shall deceive many) people think it's rightly dividing law law of Matthew 22: 36-40 and law law of Romans 8:2; But we are PLAINLY told in Mt 22 "the second(law) is like the first(law)". And in Rom 8 law law the first is sin and death; Not to mention CJ is mirrorly reverse of JC. Eternal life and peace with God are notably "through Jesus->Christ, which ends with "Christ": "the end of the law"(Rom 10:4). Selah to law law folk.

To wit: "that God"(all light and no darkness at all) was in "Christ"(the end of the law) "reconciling" (not alienating) the "world"(not just some only) unto himself(the God of all grace, and no law at all); And notably by not law imputing tresspasses to them: 2Cor 5:19. Selah to those who still law impute sin and death for the hell of it.

Rightly dividing the word of truth is rightly dividing law/grace, sacrifice/mercy, division/peace; Which things are an "allegory", and notably in both "covenants": Gal 4, and "mystery" to solve in time: noted over 20 times in NT. Selah to literalist folk.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Psa 119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your LAW IS THE TRUTH!!!
Prov 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light.
Isa 8:20 To the law and to the prophecy: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Satan can't lie to you anymore. Keep the Laws. It worked on Eve in the garden, and Satan has not changed her tactics!

Because the one apostle that God told to write the verse also tells us how to rightly divide the Word of Truth. He divides the Bible into three sections. Times Past, Now and Ages to come.Ephesians 2: 11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; Ephesians 2: 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Ephesians 2: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
1.Know the books that are doctrine for you: The books that begin with your apostle’s name “PAUL” are doctrine for you and it is always the first word in each book he is inspired to write. Example: Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 Thessalonians 3:17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write. In the first chapter of ever book Paul writes he from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ and says grace and peace. 1 Corinthians 1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Know that all other books of the Bible that are not written by Paul are for your learning. Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

properly, as a be conscious first of all, you should endure in ideas that diverse doctrines can shape the way human beings study and that your which ability won't be completely applicable. dont overlook that one and all human beings in easy terms be responsive to partly. even theologians and pastors dont consistently study properly. shifting on... i think of the verse ability that because of the fact Jesus stored us, we ought to consistently no longer desire to sin. some verse until now that, verse 6 says that no one that lives in him keeps on sinning. i'm guessing it ought to bypass 2 techniques: a million. becuase we are in Christ, we technically now no longer sin because of the fact our sins are forgiven as quickly as we repent. and God remebers them not extra so that's as though we on no account sinned and subsequently could no longer "keep on sinning". 2. as quickly as returned, we'd have no desire to sin because of the fact we are ultimate in Christ and understanding his will for our lives. ultimate in Jesus might ultimately align our ideas and desires together with his, making us choose to sin much less. even nevertheless, because of the fact we nevertheless have a sinful nature, we are nevertheless trapped in sin and would on a regular basis crucify our flesh. whether it form of feels that we on no account sin, some sinful nevertheless will nevertheless slip in. and then there are our emotions. i think that the sin reported right it is the delibrate sin that Paul addresses in Romans 6 & 7; the form of sin that takes benefit of God's grace. so yeah, that's my handle it. area be conscious: I regarded on the solutions on the unique question and a few of those are actual sturdy. merely questioning, why is it which you think of your way of reading the Bible is the applicable way? are you able to enable Scripture interpret Scripture and make sparkling on what you reported this passage is asserting?
