a large amount of sugar will make you break out but it does not affect your acne if you consume jus a little!

No sugar consumption does not affect acne at all and I do not think this I know it. Eating too much sugar does, however, increases your chances of becoming a diabetic which is a nasxty disease because you have to prick your finger everyday to test your blood glucose level.

It is not proven that it does, but you should try. Refined sugar makes people fat, give them bad teeth, bad health (diabetes) and makes you high when taken in big doses (ask any mother about kids with sugar high) and when it comes down, brings you down with it. So it is very likely that at some level sugar affects acne. And what is said above is true, my boss' sister didn't take sugar (I guess refined) for 6 months and people would stop her to ask her what did she do to have such beautiful skin.

Besides, look at the models, most of them have nice skin, it is probably beacuse of their very strict diet (noooooo sugar or fat) and exercise. Do your math.

There are no studies that prove that any type of food you ingest has an effect on your skin. With that said, from a holistic approach too much sugar could possibly cause deficiencies and other ailments of the body. If you are eating too much sugar it could mean the body is spending more time trying to break down the sugar and less time other places. If your immune system gets low from too many stressors on the body this could cause your skin to break out. Whenever I eat poorly or do not drink enough water my skin does suffer. But it's the whole body that suffers from the poor nutrition, not necesssarily that the suger causes per se.

Diffent people have more reaction then others. I know when ever i have sugar i break out because i dont have sugar on a regular basis and my body isnt used to it. I think oily food will effect you skin more though. The body has to get rid of those toxins from the junk food and the sugar somehow. Like i said different people have different reactions. Why dont you try to not have sugar for say.. a week and see if your skin inproves.

Junk food in general, and by that I mean anything over processed, depleated of its whole food goodness. Your skin is an emlimination organ, it helps the body to detoxify, and like it or not, refined foods are toxic at some level. There is a great deal of waste. This waste has to exit your body, and a good way to do that is through the skin. If you eat large amounts of onions or garlic, it is apparent in your smell. It excretes through your skin. Bad diets and stress also conyribute to BO. Caffiene is a killer.

the truth...yes it does. And if sugar was invented as of today, it would be outlawed because it has a similar effect on the body as heroin. Sugar consumption contributes to poor health and disease in so many ways it's shocking.

They add it to just about everything to get you addicted.

If you don't believe it, try quitting sugar.

It is a drug.

It's evil fake food. Poison to your whole body.

No, its a myth overall. But sugar effects more than skin, so be worried about other things too. A lot of things are meant to be taken in moderation, just keep that in mind.

The main causes of acne are hormones, oils from your pores and cleaning habits.
