Faith is something that is inside you. Faith is something you believe, something you know, with your whole heart. Sometimes it takes time to find faith, sometimes it comes to you naturally. Have you ever done that game where you fall backwards, with your eyes closed, and let the other person catch you? That is faith, you have faith in that person to catch you so you dont fall and hit the groud. Faith can also be in religion, you could have faith that your particular God or gods is/are completely real and that there will be another life for you. Hope this answers! Sorry it is so long!

Having faith means believing in some one. Having faith does not have to be dealing with God. People can have faith in other people, or may be objects. I have faith in my car. I have faith that it will take me place to place everyday and not quit. I have faith in my family members to be there when I need them and to help me when I need help. I have that same, but lighter, faith in my friends.Yes, I do have faith in God and he is the one that helps us with our faith. Through him anything is possible. As for calling someone faith, that doesn't happen. I don't call any one faith unless that is their name. Faith is believing that a person or a thing is going to do what they are expected, or for a person to do their usual.

Faith is not a who but a what. and it has everything to do with God.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is believing in something that you have no reason to believe in. Relying on a chair to hold you up is not faith, its playing the odds based on your experience and on others' experience. 999 times out of 1000 in the past the chair has held you up. Faith is the opposite - you don't have 999 times to rely on, you believe because you want to not because you have a reason to. Yes it generally has everything to do with god, because that is the only thing that otherwise intelligent reasonable people will believe without evidence. This is where many people fall back on false, backward logic. They will say "Prove to me that there is no god." This is an attempt to use a lack of evidence as evidence. The correct question is "Prove to me that their is a god." This asks for evidence. It is how we cure diseases, go to the moon, and build computers and skyscrapers - its how humans survived and climbed to the top of the food chain.

Faith has very much to do with God. It is by faith that we believe in the promises God gives us in His Word, the Bible. I don't call anyone faith, it 'is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.' (Hebrews 11:1)

Faith is trust and belief in something heard or discovered in someway. Faith is necessary for a relationship with God, for that relationship is not based on tangible facts.

Faith is believing its real even when it can not be proven, it can deal with god or any thing else like weirdo's that believe in aliens, they too have faith. If you were meaning what catholics mean when they say "our faith" then that is what they believe they practice and what makes them catholic.
