Go slowly.

Really slowly...
There are two extremes I've found that can come after fasting:
#1. Hunger so extreme you want to eat yourself to death.
#2. Complete apathy to the idea of eating any more, having become so used to not eating that you'd rather just sleep it off.

Both are harmful. I tend to get the second more than the first.... though thats largely because I don't "fast" in the conventional sense so much as just not bother eating for several days (I don't feel hunger any more, since I learnt to switch it off).

You need to work your way from your Ramadan (or whatever its called) routine back into a normal routine gradually... maybe by an hour or two a day either side... where you still don't eat in the middle, but allow yourself to eat in the rest of the time as it gradually draws in toward the middle. Don't overdo it at once in any instance... but gradually build up the amount you eat toward the norm again. That way you can get back into the usual eating routine without system-shock....

Then again... its not the food thats usually the problem. 12 hours without water isn't too fun.... though its got nothing on going 38 hours without water (my maximum before I lost it completely and stuck my head under a tap).
Don't overdo it with the water either. Just drink a small cup every hour or so maybe....

Drink a lot of water. Make sure you get 64 oz (about 2 litres) pre day. As for the heaviness, I would just eat until I'm full and every time you feel hungry. I'm sure you appetite will come back.
