can i lubricate a new exercise bike without ruining the resistance system of the bike ??

because the pedals of the stationary bike that i just bough are not moving at all they are very stiff and tough

please help me with your tips and answers

The pedals should not be a problem to lubricate, just lubricate with graphite or other lubricant recommended by the manufacture of the exercise bike. (graphite is safer as it does not get clogged up with dirt).
