my hair is only 3 inches long and i look like boy when i leave it down. could anyone recommend a special shampoo or something

I would go the natural route... Cut it all off and then don't do anything to it. Let it grow, let it be wild and natural... Just use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and get lots of calcium in your diet and it should grow in nicely unless you have genetics for thinning hair or something... Don't stress, it's hair- It grows back! Best wishes to you! Just give your hair time to repair itself... In the meantime I would recommend the Infusium brand of moisturizing hair products- Shampoo, Conditioner, and Leave-In Treatment = D
