Unlike most skin whitening products, Super Skin Lightener does not contain hydroquinone a synthetic skin whitening ingredient. Because of safety concerns involving hydroquinone, products containing hydroquinone are banned in many European countries and limited to a maximum concentration of 2% in North America. Possible side effects of hydroquinone based skin lighteners include, permanent hyper pigmentation, white patches, uneven patchy skin colour and thinning of the skin

I am the same way...use the acne free scar lotion ( it made by University Medical) that you can buy at Wal-mart, Walgreens, or CVS...it contains hydroquinone and is very gentle and it works....... but from experience, give it about a month for you rskin to adjust and you will start to see your darken areas slowly fading...

Yes, it is fairly safe under the supervision of a physician. However, you should not use it daily for prolonged amounts of time (ie longer than 3 months) and should not use more than 1/2g-1g per application in amounts higher than 2%-4%. HTH : )

I use it and haven't had any un-safe reactions. My dermo prescribed it for me. One suggestion, ease your way into using it, don't just begin using it every night, use it and wait a few days before using it again until you see how your skin will react.
p.s. it works slowly don't expect overnight results but, it will give you results youl like over time.
