Papi can be used in two ways: it can be a sorta slang term for father (kind of like our word dad) or it can be used as a term of endearment for a man a woman likes. The best comparison I can come up with for it in english is that it's like calling someone you like baby. I think she likes you.

I'm Mexican and papi means Dad but when we say it to a guy it's suppose to be like slang it still means dad but it sound's more sexy

papi. that means daddy. in spanish heritage kids call there father that, and also sometimes there mate. it all depends onthe girl maybe she just uses the term freely. i myself call my husband my papi chulo, maening like my sweet daddy.
