I think you're being too hard on yourself. There is nothing wrong with only going out with people you're interested in.
You can't expect an instant long-term relationship, they don't exist. The first step to finding someone is to go on a first date, not to propose. If you like someone, go out with them and have fun, don't worry about marriage until later. Usually marriages that occur within the first year of the couple meeting each other fail.
Be patient! You sound like a totally great guy, and I'm sure you'll find someone soon.
By the way: don't use dating services online. They're a waste of time. Get involved in some activity at your college or in your community, then you'll meet someone who shares your interests.

But don't just rely on the internet or the phone, I mean go out with friends, meet people.. And there's nothing wrong with partying once in a while! lol.. But you have to like it!
Anyways... in college, you can start talking to some girls you find nice.. yeah a lot of girls are easy just like a lot of guys are players, what can you do, it sucks but it's life.
You have to look, take your time, no pressure... you're just getting to know people :)

well wow!!!! you need to slow down your boat sweetie. first of all you sound very attractive. second you sound cool. you just need to get out there. go out more and hang out with friends. if you haven't found the right person is because is not your time yet.
