That is quite true. Jesus was either stark raving mad or he was who he said he was, God Incarnate. He leaves us no other options.

The Lord Jesus Christ was doing sign, miracles and wonders to show the Nation of Israel that He was the Christ. John 4: 48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. Today if we believe and trust that He died for our sin then we walk by faith and not by sight 2 Corinthians 5: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) Today we serve a risen Lord that is not doing sighns and wonder. 2 Corinthians 5: 16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

When the rich youn man came to Jesus and asked what he should do to have eternal life he left dismayed because the answer was to give up all that made him important and follow Jesus no longer seeking the trappings of the world but seking the will of God; that all should be equal in life.

The People thought that The Messiah was to be an earthly king to challenge Rome. When they saw that Jesus could perform miracles they wanted to make him there EARTHLY king cause they saw he had the power to destroy Rome. When He talked about being the bread of life the people left him because he was talking about faith. Unfortunatly they didn't want to hear or talk about their faith. They wanted to destroy Rome. They had their minds thinking to much on the dictatorship instead of other more important things. Their Faith.

This goes along with the parable of the sower in Luke 8
4While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable: 5"A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up. 6Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. 7Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. 8Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown."
When he said this, he called out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
9His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that,
" 'though seeing, they may not see;
though hearing, they may not understand.'[a]
11"This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. 12Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 13Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. 14The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. 15But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
-Some will hear, but will not receive, some will hear and receive but be swept away by something that sounds "better" or that suits them- and some will hear and receive it and grow fruit! They will be grounded in the word of God and abide in His word.
