I love this question!
However, it wouldn't even be close! Sensai Segal would DOMINATE Van Damme!

Van Dammes skills are ALL for show. He does BIG telegraphed round house kicks. He favors power kicks over speed. Any martial artist would hit him half a dozen times before that kick even came a round. Van Damme also seems very arrogant. That's a bad thing for a fighter.
BUT, to address any online rumors that Van Damme was not a real fighter and only learned to fight for the movies, that is not true.
Van Damme, before his acting career was a successful kickboxer on the European scene. "He fought under his birth name of Jean-Claude Vandenberg. Fighting as a middleweight he captured a version of the European Middleweight Kickboxing Championship in 1980 with a first round knockout which was recorded in less than a minute." Van Damme finished his kickboxing career at 12-1 with 12 KO's.

As sad as it is to say this, Steven Segal would mop the floor with Van Damme. Van Damme has no martial arts training, he was a gymnast before he became a movie star.

Good Lord. Van Damme by a mile. Segal is full of hot air and not a very manly man to begin with. Not that Jean Claude is much better but he did make Time Cop!

Segal is a legit martial arties. Vav Damme is a dancer turned actor. I say Segal.
