Maybe Lucifer should sue for libel.

For some reason the first thing that comes to mind is Prometheus, another lesser god who disobeyed the major God and brought light and knowledge to humankind and was punished for it.

Lucifer's purpose, as I remember it, was guardian of light. Light has been symbolic of knowledge and wisdom. As the legend goes, he was dissatisfied with how God ran things and was banished from heaven. Any dissent against God, as per the Bible, is evil and so therefore Lucifer became evil. Even though he was created as an angel.
I mentioned it in another answer, but if you're really curious about the nature of Satan, pick up a book by Elaine Pagels called "The Origin of Satan". It's informative and may have a few answers to your questions.

There isnt a kangaroo court that would take the case!!! But I like the idea....
Seems strange that some all loving God would want to keep us ignorant, while this Evil One is called the Lightbringer and Morningstar..... That strikes me as very odd. God gave him those names - I wonder why....

Lucifer, was the most beautiful angel and he wanted to be like God and more than God, his vanity got his access denied to the third heaven. He rebelled against God, and thats why he is evil, he wants to be the opposite of what god is.
God is Love,
Satan is Hate
God Created Marriage
Satan Created Divorce
God Created Sex
Satan Created Lust
etc.

When God gives a good gift he doesn't think about what he will get in return for it. God gave a gift to Lucifer and he is accountable for being a creature of light and music. God did not take away his gifting. Even his followers can transform themselves into ministers of righteousness. Be not easily deceived. Benny Hinn has a gift of healing and he can use that gift because he practices it. He has the ability to heal people. It doesn't mean God is involved in it. Adolph Hitler had a powerful anointing to draw in and lead people. He used that gift to kill. We are all responsible for our gifts. The gifts and the high calling of God are without repentance (irrevocable).

Lucifer is never mentioned in the Bible. Satan, which means Resister and Devil which means Opposer are spoken of in the Bible. Jesus came to 'shed light' so to speak on God's Word. He came to teach us. I guess I really don't understand your question.

Lucifer was not evil and/or sinful until he said in his heart(thoughts), "I will be the Most High God!!" Those nicknames were Lucifers before he willfully sinned. Lucifer sin is the first original sin.
He was created by God, and he was quite intelligent but he looked within and pride was his downfall. Once he sinned his name was changed to satan, the deceiver.
Anyone or any religion that thinks they are God, and worship themselves as God are living a life of willful Pride as well. And they deceive themselves as satan did himself.

because he was created good, Lightbearer and MOningstar is something meant to point to a greater light a fantastic dawning.
problem he got stuck on himself and missing out on the awesom glory of God
so in the end God will be Glorified by showing mercy and justice and in part showing justice by throwin Lucifer in the lake of fire... dont find yourself there with him... it gets old fast
the problem... somewhere along the line... he knewabout God but did not love truth... we need to NOT makethe same mistake... its a little like someone telling you a glass has poisson as a loving warning... and instead he grab it and drink it, not because he odnt know its poisson... but because his heart is inclines to drink the poisson and bent on ending it... the problem needs a solution including a change of heart and a love of life

It certainly makes you doubt about the perfection of creation. Weren't angels supposed to be creatures of light and perfection? How come one wasn't so perfect after all? This must be a designer flaw in my opinion. And he took a third of the angels with him in the fall, wasn't it?
It makes me suspicious of god's plan with the world.
