Ive recently been taking ambien and xanex pills for anxiety and sleep. Im having really weird and sometimes disturbing dreams..Could this have anthing to do with it

Yes. You shouldn't be taking both of those. Holy cow.

Ambien would be enough to give you the weird dreams.

Absolutely. These medicines disrupt your REM sleep. It doesn't always happen and it doesn't always happen to those people that take these meds.
If it becomes unbearable, maybe you ought to consider seeing your doctor and telling him about it.
Try going to sleep without one of those meds and see if you can figure out which one is making you have the weird dreams.
After you figure that out, maybe you could try taking it at a different time or weening yourself off of it altogether.
