I have 9 tattoos and I can tell you some areas that I thought would be easy to cover but turned out not to be. The shoulder bades, the foot, ankle, anywhere on the lower leg, the back of your neck. Now having said that, the one tattoo that I have that never shows unless I am in a bathing suite is on my rib cage, that hurts pretty bad though! :) So mainly my point is, wherever you get it, it's going to show at some point, unless you get it on your butt. Think about who is going to see it. If you are only worried about it being shown in a work place, think also about when your grandmother would see it too! That'll help you decide where to put it.

If it's going to be small, I would get it on the top of my foot. For a first tattoo the foot is always a good choice because if you decide you don't like it you can always cover it with socks and shoes. One drawback of getting it on your foot though - be prepared to wear flip-flops until it heals as to not pull the scab off and pull the ink out of your new tat.

Ladybugs are so cute & I haven't seen many of them. I think it would be cute on your foot, front hip location or maybe coming over your shoulder like it's walking to the front. Get it the size of a dime.
I like that idea.

I have a little man in the moon tattooed in my ear - I have kind of short hair but even then I can still comb it where it covers or I can just sweep it back and have it show.

I got a small butterfly, as my first tatto this year, and I got it, just underneath the waist line of my bikini bottom. I love it there, it's only visible to someone if I want to show them!

thats such a great idea but i think that behind the ladybug should be a couple of leaves like its sitting on leaves and maybe a teeny flower that would be cute!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

At your ankle, small of your back, lower tummy, or hips. These are all places that can be covered up when you need to. I have a flower vine around my ankle and I am able to cover it up when needed.

id say on top of your foot, like its crawling up towards your leg, i have a small dragonfly on the top of mine and it looks cute there b.c of its size, i wouldnt suggest putting it on your lower back b/c if you later wanted something to go there thats bigger it might conflict with the new design, and i wouldnt go with the ankle, it seems kinda trashy to me,
