Energy drinks are full of caffiene. Caffiene is bad for you, especially in large amounts.
People get addicted to caffiene. They originally start drinking it to help stay awake, etc. because it's a stimulant. Pretty much like a legal drug. A drug you can't get in trouble for taking. After a while, your body actually NEEDS the caffiene to function.
That's good that you don't drink them. Like I said, they aren't good for you, especially if you get addicted.

Red Bull is crack, man. Tastes bad, costs too much, little can, but potent as hell. I personally used to drink Full Throttle. The caffiene in most of these drinks is guarana, a natural and arguably more effective form of caffiene. And there's also taurine in most energy drinks which some people can't handle very well. If the caffiene doesn't bother you, it's a good way to stay up for a little bit longer.

Energy drinks are popular these days...especially in bars. People mix alcohol with energy drinks like red bull so they don't get sluggish after a few drinks. I've done it a few times and think it works...so long as you don't drink too much;)

I like the taste, and it keeps me awake when I have a deadline to meet (sometime I get huge projects that need to be finished the day after I get them).
They also taste great with vodka or jaegermeister, but those can be bad for you, so I never drink more than one or two of those.

I like Diet Rockstar or Monster (blue can) energy drinks. I use them as a substitute to coffee and drink them on occasion.
