eduarodi....I like your reasoning.
I accept the fact that atheists can love. My question though was how can you love when you disagree with LOVE (GOD) itself.

External stimuli is caused by the nature of our body and mind. My question to you is where did this stimuli come to existence. Logically there has got to be source. Do you know what the source is.....I refer to the source as GOD.

If love is merely a chemical reaction...why does it happen within? you may say it is combination of elements. my question is where did these elements come from? how come your logic doesn't tell me THAT?

Love exists without human intervention. So what can exist on its own must have derived from somewhere. Where from? I call the source as GOD. HOW that is for the humans to discover with logic and science!
If you don't get this simple principle...its time you opened your mind!

You say that you don't know where source came from. If you cannot answer that what gives you the right to say that it can't be. Just because your brains cells cannot strech that far.
I agree God is a mystery. Not a form that you are assuming I am referring to. But isn't it there. Love existed before humans knew ABC. So isn't it fair to accept what our limited human mind cannot comprehend, as the source of life....which I refer to as GOD?

Lets look at it objectively. I have repeated it over and over that I am accepting that I have no answers about the origin. So I believe the origin itself because of which I exist, your inflationary theory exist, your body of knowledge itself exists, so on and so forth.
Now the reason that "I am" compells me to believe in the "ORIGIN or GOD" because I humbly accept that it is beyond my human comprehension. But what I understand is that I exist and I am thankful because if there weren't an origin there would be nothing.
If you are not a school kid, you should get my point at least now!!

LOL!!! This is a great question. With some really crazy answers thus far.
Especially the one from the person who says "atheists love just like everyone else so it's real..."
Several billion people on the planet have faith in Christ. So that's pretty real too. But if we answer about God the way this atheist just answered about love, we're considered stupid.
The person who said love isn't irrational has obviously never been in love. Love makes us completely irrational. People do the dumbest things for love.
So we can say love is real, because science can show that it is a chemical reaction in the brain. And the feeling of being "in love" after said reaction lasts about 6 months.
Science has also show that the feeling of experiencing God shows a very real reaction in the brain. Which would make God real.
At least by the Atheist's standard for proof of love.
The feeling of being in love can be recreated by chemical means.
The feeling of experiencing God can be recreated by magnets.
Since we can recreate both, does that mean neither "really" exists? Scientists would say no, because we can also recreate how the brain reacts to enjoying apple pie and we know apple pie exists.
GREAT question!!!!!

Love is a perfectly logical confluence of hormones, neurological responses, and cognitive comprehension of the physiological affects of those hormones and neurological responses.
Emotions, like the mind, are an emergent behavior of the brain, nothing more, nothing less. A deity is not a requirement for love.
-----
Love evolved out of the instinct known as altruism. In fact, love is nothing more than that instinct, viewed from a self-aware mind.
And the next logical question you're going to ask is how did life start then, huh? Simple, it's a field of science called abiogenesis, a subfield of physical chemistry, that describes out prebiotic earth's conditions set the stage for the formation of life from random elements and high-work energy in the form of electricity and UV light.
Ah, but where did the matter and energy come from originally then, I'm sure you'll lead up to. To understand that, you need to delve into quantum physics and study up on the inflaton, the infinite universe from which the visible universe began.
Ahah, I can already hear you say, "Where did the infinite universe come from! It must have been god!" Where did your infinite god come from? If you claim 'He always was!' then I make the same assertion for the inflaton. At least the inflaton has some mathematical results in quantum physics that hint at its existence. Your god has no such support.
"But what caused the inflaton to cough up a quantum fluctuation large enough to break the CPT symmetry and thus cause the inflationary era we know as the beginning of the visible universe?!" Well, you'd ask this if you knew what the heck you were talking about, but I'll answer it anyways: same place every quantum effect comes from -- random collapse of a wavestate. Nothing more, nothing less. Pure... random... chance.
The end, game over, buh-bye, see ya' later.
-----
Dude, there was no 'source'. Ever. That's the whole point. The inflaton could not NOT have existed (double negative intentional). Therefore, it had no beginning, will have no end. Technically, the visible universe didn't even begin in the inflaton, it's PART of the inflaton.
Get this through your head -- there was no origin, no beginning, just a sudden rapid inflationary era that stabilized into what you see today.

God is not love... love is an emotional state brought upon by brain chemistry that has evolved over millions of years. It's essential to our survival and thus a positive adaptation. However, it can have negative side effects.
You are painting atheists as some kind of robot that operates solely on logic. We are humans just like yourself, and we too fall prey to our emotions. Emotions are inseparable from the human experience... the difference is that we make real attempts to understand our emotions while you simply brush them off as "god"

Love is an emotional response. Everyone is born with emotions. If a baby is hungry, it cries. When a person is happy, they laugh. If you're phsically attracted to someone, it's lust. All of these things are responses to outside stimuli, be they physical or not. So, using your logic, all emotional responses are god. Does he cohabit my body? No, I'm here all by myself. Why don't you do some research on seratonin and adrenaline? You may find there are indeed other reasons for emotional response than God.

Love is God!!! God is love!!!
God does not exist!! That is for sure!!
Does that mean love does not exist?
There is a tribe in Africa (The Hulabula) who have no God they do have love, love for their fellow man, thats strange isnt it??
How can they do that without having about 100 different religions to show them the right way??
Dont bother researching that tribe, I just made it up, like you and your tribes made God up!!
Hope this helps??
I expect this answer merits 10 points?????
Maybe not!! Far too much 'logic' here?

The emotional feeling of love is a logic and scientific response to mental and physical stimuli. I do not follow, nor agree, with your assumption that love is somehow correlated to some god. Love is emotion response, how does that equate to an imaginary being?

You are over exaggerating. Love is not supernatural, is it? Than what your saying is that emotions are illogical or something. To answer your question It comes from our minds and natural instincts.Anyways, I thought god or your religion did not care about animals and that they have no soul, Do they love?Do they enjoy sex?To you, I doubt it since you believe we are the center of the universe. So to you,Buddists dont love. Your de-humanizing them. To answer your last question, I am not a scientist but can tell what is superstitious or not!

God is not love. Love is just a chemical reaction if you really want to get right down to it.
Billie had the right idea in the first answer tbh, we're not logic controlled (well metaphorically anyway) people, we'd be robots if we were.

Okay. Let's put it this way. You do know that atheist love, like anybody else, right? So, we can say that's a fact, okay?
If so, then you should be assuming that something in your reasoning is failing. I mean, If atheists can love, and love is not about logic, therefore atheists' lives aren't ONLY about logic.
EDIT: God is love for believers, ONLY. Don't YOU get it? Therefore, you can love (people) without accepting God...

Logic when logic is called for, for example in assessing rival claims or when discussing the 'nature' of love. For example the feeling of love is not a scientific issue but the value of love from an evolutionary viewpoint, sure why not?
And why wouldn't you want to know why you experience that great rush known as love, its fascinating to me how it has evolved. Oh better strike that ... god did it.
Edit:
And please don't abuse the word logic, what has it ever done to you to be used so inappropriately.
