Why does religion make me so mad?

Question

Is it because it's the biggest obstacle to human progress since the beginning of recorded time?

Maybe because religicoes always use circular logic to support their claims?

Maybe because I've been stereotyped, assaulted and/or pitied by holier than thou religicoes?

Is it the "I'm right, you're wrong" attitude that I've come to expect from conservative religious groups?

Or maybe it's the mysogenistic viewpoint of many religions?

Sometimes, I just don't know. Why does religion make YOU so mad?

probably cause of their arrogant pride. (you sin your going to hell but im going to heaven attitude)... pride is one of seven deadly sins? i wonder if they know by acting so righteous that it is really a sin to do so? i find it annoying that they are so hypocritical, most dont practice as they preach, they read parts of the bible and think they know it all. they run around telling everyone what to believe and condeming people to hell... bible says not to judge, and to worry about yourself. (verse says, do not pick at the sliver in another's eye when there is a log in your own). i think its a mix between hypocrits, and the prideful righteous who condemn everyone around them to hell... (mixed with their ignorance of their own beliefs)

I'm Buddhist, bu I don't stereotype. I know why you are angry and I know those types of people, but not all of the religions are like that... The only ones who have ever criticized me are Christians, but not all of them are bad either. It depends more on the person, not the religion. The person makes the choice to be mean, religion is only an influence to hurt others. However, that's why I love Buddhism. It teaches a way NOT to hurt others.

I am a strong athiest, but I have nothing against religion, as long as thiests leave my beliefs alone. I acknowledge that there are good people who believe in religion, but there are those who have this arrogrant pride. I am not saying all Christians do this, as not all of them do, but the only people who have bothered me are those who believe in Christian faith. They tell me that those who do not believe in religion will go to this "Fire Lake" or hell, or "Those with no religion are lost" and then making themselves look good by saying, "We are just trying to save you from your mistakes, before it is too late." I also get annoyed when Christians say God created the world as it is, and then say science has no evidence of how the Earth was created. But excuse me, I dont see their evidence of how God created the Earth, and furthermore, who and what created God? Whenever I hear people say God is the uncreated creator of the universe, and it would be ILLOGICAL to question "Who created God?', I literally roll on the floor laughing.

Also they make truth claims without any substance or evidence. They call things like "faith" and "personal experience" evidence, which is neither observable or verifiable.

The outrageous beliefs are taken at face value with no skeptical approach at all... that's what frustrates me most.

I don't get mad. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. However, I believe that there is ONLY one God ... One Truth ... One Savior (Jesus Christ).
