Whenever I play MP3 or WMA files in Windows Media Player version 10, they jump, like records used to do when you got fluff on them. Anyone know why?

If you ripped them from a CD, you are not using a high enough bit rate. If you have enough room on your computer, then try setting the bit rate on the highest. (For .wma files, try ripping in Windows Media Audio (variable bit rate). It takes a little more room on your computer, but the sound quality is supurb.)

If you are playing it from the CD, the CD is scratched. Then you need to get a CD repair kit so that it can repair the scratch(es) unless it is a circular scratch. It is also possible that the original CD is scratched.

domicile windows Media participant 11 remains somewhat flaky. in case you have got sufficient money it, you would be extra desirable off with something like Nero 7 extremely version superior v7.8.5.0 finished Multilanguage - (be conscious: Vista ships with DirectX 10. won't set up in case you % to no longer set up the directX component. The application is like minded in all use. (32-bit) -). on the different hand, i might propose Audacity v1.3.2-beta (32-bit) for unfastened.
