Please try to answer as many parts to my question as possible, thanks. :)

First off, do you think clairvoyance exists? I DO believe some people possess some abilities to feel or sense things that maybe some of us are unable to, but are these people confusing this ability WITH clairvoyance, and it might not be what it truly is? Take for instance these television shows where the clairvoyant speaks with a deceased loved one - They always seem to know specific details that no one would/should know. Do the family members participating fill out some kind of questionaire that gives clues that these 'clairvoyants' go off of and just guess and feel their way through, or are some truly legit? Why aren't they more popular and why aren't there more believers if they've given proof time after time of their abilities?

I would appreciate more of an answer than just a simple 'Yes'. Thanks.

Yes, I do believe that some people are more 'open' to their senses and can perceive things that most of us can not. Most people have moments of this in their lives. It is a proven fact that the human brain is only used at 7-10% of it's capacity. It could be that some of these individuals may be able to utilize a part of their brain that others are not. I also think the reason a lot of people do not believe in prophecy/clairvoyance is all the scams that have been focused around them. Also, many 'psychics' aren't truly gifted like that, but are seeking to make a buck. They give broad, general answers that the person can then twist into their own lives. People are both skeptical and fascinated by the possibility this exists. I couldn't comment on the TV shows.

No clairvoyants are ever legit. Some may have learned the techniques in a way that they didn't realize what they were learning was trickery and probably truly believe they have a gift. Others may have learned the trickery and known about it and then deluded themselves to think they really have powers. Others simply lie and use trickery while simply claiming to have these powers.

In the case of the TV psychics, a lot of what they know that is specific to an individual is fed to them from people who have solicited this information from the individual beforehand. For the most part, these so-called psychics rely on a tactic known as cold reading in which they will rattle off very general questions or themes until they get a response from the subject and slowly narrow their queries until they hit on something they can use... from there it's simply a matter of sugar coating to elicit an emotional response that usually trumps the logic of the subject. It's not an easy thing to do, but it is very far from supernatural.

Yes. Psychic ability is that intuition we all have developed and honed. Usually there is a 'spirit guide' that tells the clairvoyant/psychic the information they need to present. It means nothing to the psychic they are just saying what is flowing through their mind. It's a real ability but is not designed to perform 'parlor tricks' and that is where a lot of these people get into trouble.

I believe we are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense. The Psychic Sense.

Yes. I do. I've actually had a couple of "visions" that have happened. So how can I say it doesn't?

Such gifts are biblical. We just get all bunged up over new age type terms like "clairvoyant..."

Yes, my special friend and I share this gift and communicate useing it sometimes. I believe it is an enherited evolved trait. My mother's side is where I get it from. I have not spoken to any dead people, though. I think what John Edwards does is read the live people and act like the information is coming from dead relatives. But, I can't say for sure, since I've never met him.

yes,and no they dont actuall "speak" to the dead.
Some people have percepual intuition. They add things up when most of us dont even see the problem.
And yes they do "?" the Family members and audience.
They often (knowingly) misrepresnt themselves, this is why they are always going to have limited audiences.
