i know that introducing peanuts into a diet too early can trigger allergies (i was allergic when i was younger). my daughter is 1 year and i was wondering if this is too early?

Most peditricians say wait till they are 2 years old.

Longer if there is a family history of peanut allergies.

I never heard about peanuts doing that. Maybe it is true. I'm not sure. But I wouldn't give them peanuts too young anyway because they are one of the leading causes of choking. Along with grapes. There are two more but I can't remember what they are.

To early, wait for peanuts and peanut butter until she is at least 2. My Bro-in-law the doctor lectured me on this. But you could always check with your doctor.
