This will vary from body to body and can be influenced by your height, weight, exercise level, fitness level, how often you eat, exactly what you eat, and a number of other things. The best way for you to find out would be for you to go to a gym or doctor's office and have them do some sort of metabolic test to figure out approximately how many calories you burn, then come up with some sort of diet and exercise program from there.

Well that really depends on how much you weigh now and how much you want to weigh. The more overweight you are, the easier it is to lose weight. Try going to www.thedailyplate.com to find out how many cal you should eat per day lose x lbs per week. Generally, the average female should be eating around 1300-1500 cal per day, but that assumes youre already at a healthy weight. And keep in mind, it takes a week or two of regular exercise for the weight to start dropping, but then it starts coming off pretty easily. And diet is the number one factor in weight, not exercise. Exercise IS very important, but it's more important that you change your eating habits.

Nutritionists recommend losing no more than 1 - 2 pounds per week. Since about 3500 Calories make a pound of fat, you should try to work off 500 Calories per day. That's probably about an hour of jogging or other cardio exercise. Or you could eat 500 fewer Calories per day, which is a lot easier. Try www.mypyramid.org, it will tell you how many Calories you need per day and how many Calories you are eating based on your food log.

You should burn about 500 calories a day to safely lose 1 pound a week-Or reduce 250 calories from your diet and burn 250 calories a day. There's 3500 calories in one pound
You may want to put in about an hour a day of walking (you don't have to do it all at once) Perhaps some light weights to build more muscle which in turn burns more calories

You have to burn more calories than you take in. It's best if you exercise everyday for as long as you feel is needed. The key thing is to break a sweat . Youalso have to lift weights to build muscle which burns fat.
