Perhaps the cow was in the last phase of her "heat" cycle when the bull bred her the first day. After they go out of heat the bull is not interested anymore. I doubt it had anything to do with the bull wanting a different cow. Bulls are not like us in that they like to pick and choose who they breed, they just breed whoever is ready at the time. It is very apparent who is "bulling" because everything, including other cows, will indicate it by smelling or riding the cow that is in heat. Perhaps the writer should spend some time on the ranch or farm.

Hard to say...
Bulls may be averse to mating with the same cow twice ..but lots of other animals have no such aversion - take the lion , or the eagle for example...they choose a mate for life.
If the New York Times is trying to link this observation (was it just one bull or did they observe several? ) to human males, then it's way off course, as history and society show..

Bulls like most males get tired of the same old same old. Maybe the bull just wanted a new jersey to mate with. Bulls talk among themselves. Perhaps it was something they herd through the bovine. They may have been told to steer clear of a certain cow. If this one isn't the right one, maybe the udder one is.

I Guess it all depends on the cow. I have tried several "new cows" lately and I can say without a doubt all I want is my "old cow" back. But then again I am no bull (if you know what I mean)so that may make my opinion irrelevant.

Male cow?..Isn't that an oxymoron? As far as that theory is concerned I thought my wife was really hot when she was preggo. So, I think it is so much "bull". You mean you never got laid when you were pregnant?

I agree with Dynamit....it all depends on the estrus cycle of the cow.
With human males, no such cycle exists. The female is available 24/7....at least some are....lol
Gorky...good one....lol
Einstein....is that one long MOOOOO or several short ones.....it makes all the difference you know....lol
