Hello, I just had a baby a little over 8 weeks ago. I am breastfeeding, but I'm still having my period. My husband and I have not been very careful the last few times we had sex. What is the liklihood that I can get pregnant?

Are you EXCLUSIVELY breastfeeding, or are you supplementing? Are you nursing on demand? Does baby have long periods of sleep or are you nursing around the clock?

Since you are only 8 weeks PP, are you sure you're having a period already, or are you still having lochia from the birth? If you are exclusively BF, it would be odd for you to be having a period this early on.

Good luck...nursing is not birth control. And after you have a baby you are the most fertile. I got pregnant with my second child when my baby was that new. My kids are exactly 11 months apart.

it relatively is harder to get pregnant on an analogous time as breastfeeding, I did although. I had 3 failure to implants, this is what it sound such as you experienced, until eventually now getting pregnant. relatively, you're ovulating and the egg is being fertilized, yet there's no longer sufficient uterine lining to implant. particularly, your physique remains preparing it ought to take some months yet will take place. i began ovulating while my son replaced into 14 months and replaced into pregnant while he replaced into 20 months and he nursed to 23 months. sturdy success!

Very high. Unless you want kids that close together (2 babies), I would use BC
