That is basically what the Bible says is going to happen to all of the imperfect "so-called" children of God? Who wrote this book and set of rules anyway? It says so in the Bible, right? Personally, I will not follow a silly book designed to keep pillagers off villagers. I believe in God, but not the silly, unthinkable crap in the Bible. Anyone else agree? And can you holier than though bible thumpers tell me why you disagree in a nice, polite way? Using your own brain and not quoting all these paragraphs with numbers? LOL!

I agree! The very thought of that is repulsive and sick. But, allow me to correct a common mistake: the Bible does NOT teach that God will punish evildoers in an eternal fire. In fact it says in Revelation that hell is thrown into the lake of fire (and it's empty). The common teaching of hell cannot figure that verse out. What the Bible really teaches is that, when people die they simply go to sleep... as in, they lose consciousness and then cease to exist. Simple as that. From dust to dust. End of story. No suffering. But it also teaches that all in the memorial tombs will be brought back to life (the good AND the bad) and be given a chance to know the type of God that he really is. I'd say that's very different than the type of God that most religions teach about.
You should take a second look at what the Bible teaches (note: not what religions teach) and also look at some of the guidelines. I'm thinking that you will find that they are reasonable and are all in our best interests.
