I had some friends that went to Amsterdam and they tried absythne...among other things. They told me about it and I REALLY want to try it. Can I find it here? Where? How much? Thanks for the help!

Absinthe is legal to posses, but not legal to sell in the US. If you want to get some, you should check online for foreign sellers - it can be shipped to you legally, but it will cost you... Up here in Canada you can buy it at the corner store :)
Check www.feeverte.net (the green fairy). This is an excellent absinthe site with good ratings and links to vendors. Just stay away from the Czech stuff - its not as good as the stuff from france.

It is NOT LEGAL in the US and cannot be brought, even if you get it through a foreign company. You can travel to several foreign countries in which it is still legal (or has become legal again). France has legalized it and I think Germany may also allow it.

You can order it on-line, but it's illegal to sell in the US, so you're not going to find it on any store shelves.

I would Google it for your area. It's legal and should be available but may be a specialty item and have to be ordered online.
