Actually, there is a lot said on immigration in both the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures. How it pertains to recent political matters, however, is another topic entirely.
Reasons for immigration included God's command (1), famine (2), conquering nations (3), and various other reasons (4). Please note, this is not intended to be a complete list of reasons for ancient immigration nor Biblical texts that discuss said topic.
1) Cain's banishment (emigration) from the vicinity of Eden was punishment for murder -- Genesis 4:15. Abraham was commanded by God to immigrate to the land of Canaan from Ur -- Genesis 12:4; 15:7. Hebrew exodus from Egypt -- Exodus 12:38.
2) Abraham and Jacob's families immigrated to Egypt -- Genesis 12:10; 45:9-11. Elimelech's family immigrated to Moab -- Ruth 1:1, 2.
3) Assyrians were well-known for uprooting conquered peoples --2 Kings 15:29; 17:24, 1Chronicles 5:26. Many Jews were forced to immigrate to Babylon after being conquered by the Babylonians -- Jeremiah 52:15, Daniel 1:3.
4) The Mosaic Law required that alien residents in Israel be treated well, like family -- Leviticus 19:33, 34. The Gibeonites were spared from death and became temple servants in Israel -- Joshua 9:22-27. Ruth, an ancestress of Jesus, immigrated to Israel from Moab -- Ruth 1:7. First century Christians spread throughout the Mediterranean and middle east as a result of religious persecution -- Acts 11:19.

THE TENTH COMMANDMENT
You shall not covet . . .
anything that is your neighbor's. . . .
You shall not desire your neighbor's house,
his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant,
or his ox, or his a*ss,
or anything that is your neighbor's.
Envy is a capital sin.
It refers to the sadness at the sight of another's goods
and the immoderate desire to acquire them for oneself,
even unjustly.
When it wishes grave harm to a neighbor it is a mortal sin:
St. Augustine saw envy as "the diabolical sin."
"From envy are born hatred, detraction, calumny,
joy caused by the misfortune of a neighbor,
and displeasure caused by his prosperity."
Envy represents a form of sadness
and therefore a refusal of charity;
the baptized person should struggle against it
by exercising good will.
Envy often comes from pride;
the baptized person should train himself to live in humility:
There will be ONE TORAH (set of instructions)
for both the resident and the stranger.”
(Exodus 12:49
and twice in Numbers chapter 15 - verses 16 and 29)
In other words,
illegal actions such as ignoring immigration laws
are wrong and will be punished
in accordance with the prescribed measure of punishment.
Romans 13:
1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities.
For there is no authority except from God,
and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
2 Therefore whoever resists the authority
resists the ordinance of God
and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil.
Do you want to be unafraid of the authority?
Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.
4 For he is God’s minister to you for good.
But if you do evil, be afraid;
for he does not bear the sword in vain;
for he is God’s minister,
an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.
Here we see that the state is an institution established by God,
just like the family and the church.
What is the responsibility of the people of the state?
They are to be subject to this God-ordained government
and render obedience to it, without exception.
It says,
“Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities.”
That means we must all pay tax.
When we do so, we are giving money to God,
just as we do when we contribute to the church.
Why does God command us to pay tax?
Because government cannot exist without money.
In a democracy we may have some say
as to how much we should pay,
but the fact is there can be no government without money.
So we are to pay tax,
obey just laws,
and respect those who govern us.
That does not mean we are to worship them.
Jesus Christ said,
“Give to Caesar that which is Caesar’s,
and to God what is God’s” (Matthew 22:21).
Matthew 22:21
"Render, therefore, unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's;
and unto God, the things that are God's
Taxes belong to government authorities;
worship belongs to God alone.
Caesar(s) may demand our worship,
but we are not to give it;
it is given only to the Sovereign God.
We are also commanded to pray for our government leaders.
Additionally, we should be involved actively in politics,
especially by voting intelligently.
What power is granted to the state?
The sword.
The power of the parents is the rod,
but the state alone is given the power of the sword,
which means it has the authority to kill the defiant.
Capital punishment promotes the sanctity of life.
He who disobeys and rebels against the state
is disobeying and rebelling against God himself,
just as one who rebels against parents or pastors
is rebelling against God.
A disobedient citizen experiences the wrath of God
through the sword of government.
(Luke 10:16).
Children, if you dishonor your father and mother,
you are dishonoring the Almighty God,
and he is going to deal with you severely.
If you do not honor the government or the police,
and if you disobey the laws of the state,
you are going to be dealt with by God himself.
If you think that you can abuse a pastor or an elder
who has been appointed by God,
and then think you can get away
by pleading “liberty of conscience,” you are mistaken.
You will not get away with it, because, as Jesus taught,
“He who rejects you rejects me,
and rejects the one who sent me”
Romans 13:1-2: (Passage At The Top Of This Answer)
“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities . . .
those that exist have been instituted by God.
Therefore whoever resists the authorities
resists what God has appointed,
and those who resist will incure judgment.”
Subjecting oneself to the governing authorities
also means subjecting oneself to the laws of that country.
It is clear from this
that the Bible leaves no room for illegal immigration—
rather, such an act is wrong and should be punished.
You see, it is socialism, pure and simple,
to force someone to pay to support others.
Redistributing income —
taking from one to give to another by force (law) —
is entirely unbiblical.
This is where Christians themselves get confused,
let alone non-Christians and/or those unfamiliar with Scripture.
To DEMAND from my government to ignore crime,
ask others to do the same
and pay to support criminals is unbiblical.
Evading personal responsibility is unbiblical.
Forcing others to pay for our good intentions is unbiblical.
Supporting illegal immigration is unbiblical.
