I am thinking of purchasing this model in febuary or march of the coming year (I need a new car mine is 11 years old, and the price is right, and I work at the dealership) Now we haven't sold many of these, so we haven't had them in for service so I haven't heard much feed back on the car, if you have one or know someone who does, I would like to know what you think about how it drives, handels, how it does with gas, road noise, the radio, whatever you can tell me about it. Im specifically thinking of buying a manual, the GS with the premium package. Serious feedback only please.

Never listen to the people who say Hyundais and Kias are bad cars, because they are wrong. Sure, they used to be, like 10 years ago but now that is over and now Hyundai/Kia have the same or better quality than a lot of the Japanese makes such as Toyota. Hey, The Hyundai Entourage/Kia Sedona are the most safest minivans in every way to date.. hmm....

So yeah the Accent is a very good car, and from what I heard people haved been buying this car so much that they can't produce enough of them. I guess not at your dealership so get one now before they are all gone at other dealerships and then go to yours to get one. And yes, please get the manual, a lot more fun than automatic. Plus, I like a chick that drives stick hehe... So yeah it's really up to you but if it were me, buy it.

You work at a dealership. Can't you test-drive one easily? Since they know you, they might let you take the "demo" model home for a night or something. I think the SE hatch looks pretty nice for a small car.

As for Hyundai in general, check out J.D. Power's initial quality survey (IQS) and vehicle dependability surveys (VDS). For '06, Hyundai was #3 in intial quality, behind Porsche and Lexus, so they've got that figured out. The VDS survey that examines 3-year-old cars finds Hyundai is still well below average but at the same time picked the Hyundai Accent as #2 most reliable sub-compact. Unfortunately nobody's had a 2006 Accent for more than a year, so nobody can tell you if it's as good or not. Good luck.

Hyundais are NOT bad cars....people don't take the time to look and research on them. All americans think about is speed and style....hyundai has style but it will be a ways for them to have speed. but don't believe the fist answer, hyundais are one of the most reliable cars out there!

Hyundai's are really bad cars. Engineering is terrible and so is the quality. Korean car builders will do ANYTHING to sell a car. They just copy other car designs (Toyota, Honda, Nissan) to make you think that they are good. My recommendation for an 07 Hyundai Accent 3 door is NOT to buy it. Has many electrical problems.

The new accenr is sharpe looking and way better than the older hyundais. Stay away from Kia, same company garbage car.
