I made one this week, I usually take the roast and coat in a thin layer of flour and brown on all sides in a large skillet. Then put a little water in the bottom of the crock pot, but not a lot because it will make it's own juice. Then leave it on low at about 8 in the morning and then at lunch I add medium red potatoes and quartered onion and leave until I get home at 5 and then I add some small or chunked carrots and let them get soft, about 30 - 45 minutes and it's falling apart deliciousness!!
