I don't have a steamer, but always steam my veggies. I put the veggies in a bowl and cover with saran wrap. If the veggies are frozen, I don't add any water. If the veggies are fresh, I add a couple teaspoons of water. Don't use too much water, or else the veggies will go limp. If I use a 2 quart bowl that is just over half filled with veggies, then I microwave for about 6 minutes. It works every time for me! Hope this helps!!

Cook, covered in 1 inch of water for aabout 10 minutes. You may have to adjust the time depending on how you like your veggies. I like mine to still have a little "crunch" and only cook them 6-8 minutes. Some like them mushy and would let them go as long as 15 minutes. Poke with a fork to check doneness.
