I am going to try on wedding dresses this weekend and wanted to know if i could wear make-up. Not lipstick but just some mascara on the eyes with a little blush. Nothing crazy just basic. I wasnt sure if dresses go on from the bottom up or over the head. Obviously if they go over the head i dont want to wear any at all. Please give me your opinions, or any experiences you had. Thanks for taking the time to answer!! Serious anawers only please!! :)

you can wear full make-up if you wish - BUT take along a scarf that you can drape over your head while getting into the gown ;
this will help prevent the make-up getting on the gown .
having full make-up will help to give you a better idea of how you will look on your day -
the make-up for your wedding day should be subtle anyhow - to enhance your best features

Depending on the dress it goes on over the head or the bottom, and depending on the store you should go with or without make up.
Let me be clear, there are some stores that will offer you tissues to wipe away your makeup and others that don't care because the dress you are trying on isn't the dress you are taking home with you, someone usually helps you put on the dress so that it doesn't get dirty.
I suggest you do wear mascara and no blush, it may sound stupid but that way you can get a better idea if the dress will look pretty with all of your makeup on or not, rather than having a clean just washed face.
I visited seven bridal stores and was wearing makeup to all of them, only in one of those did they give me tissue paper and in all of them all the attendants were super helpful.
Enjoy the process, I hope you find the perfect dress! and once you do and you go to try it on again remember to take with you the underwear and shoes you will be wearing the day of the wedding, just so you know how things will fit.
Good luck!

a lot of places have "hoods" that cover your face so when the dress goes over your head you don't get anything on the dress.
