Technically yes, the criteria would be compatible with an adjustment disorder and it certainly can be a huge adjustment in life.

Yes, I believe so. You are adjusting to the fact that you have lived half your live and you have another half to go. What you do with the last half depends on how you handle life.
Many people feel a clock ticking down when they get to midlife. They look at what they have done and realize they have not done what they really would like to. Generally they have spent their lives raising kids, working to acquire wealth, and in a rut. Then they go for all that which they think they are missing like buying a motocycle, RV, spending money on pleasure, traveling, wanting new experiences, wanting a new love, and more.
Many flip out just trying to live life to the fullest. They dump their spouce and kids and try to act like a kids again with all the freedom they had. It can destroy their lives and everyone they love. It is never worth the pain you carry.

I don't think you have a disorder. There's just a lot going on in your life and sometimes life ( for everyone ) is VERY hard to deal with. Just try to be super strong. If you have a few days here and there where you are sad, please don't dwell on it!! Everyone is entitled to some sad days!!! Good Luck

God is the Answer to all our life problems.
In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!
(Digestion of above can even prevent depression and suicidal thoughts.)
