Just a suggestion. While volunteering at the hospital a lot of cancer patients got their friends together and their friends all shaved their heads and had something like bald head contests and tried to make the chemo a hilarious expereince. To lighten up the mood.

If you have to ask here I would suggest your doctor isn't doing his/her job properly! Ask him/her or the hospital for all the information they've got for you to read. You should have been given all this information before making the decision to start chemo. It can be a very unpleasant experience and there ARE other alternatives.

Radio Talk show host Laura Ingraham had to undergo chemo this last year or two and she is doing just fine. It may be a worthy pursuit to look into her website for helpful thoughts. there's an excellent book written by a cancer survivor who had a real hard struggle with it. It's a detailed account of his experiences and it's really inspireing. "Lotus in the Fire" is what it's called, found it at my local library. hope that helps and good luck-

my co-workers son-in-law is going through it. Everyone reacts different. You will most likely loose your hair, feel nausiated. Just make sure you eat to keep your strength. He has gone through 2 rounds, and just feels sick at his stomach. Best of luck to you, and God bless you
