You have to file a police report and try to get the person prosecuted. Hopefully, that would stop them from committing fraud with your number, but it may not stop fraud if they spread your number to other people.

Call the credit bureau and tell them to put a red flag on your credit..It works..Nobody can get anything using your social..in order for you to get anything, you have to call and get the flag off. It is a pain sometimes but at least nobody is going to be screwing you over!
