i paid $5 and all they did was take my pic and put it in the year book, i didn't get any pics but by then i was already married (crazy i know but we're 5 years and counting :) ). i asked my husband and he said his parents paid over a hundred for his and they got 3 poses at different locations. at least 1 8X10 and 20 wallets and sizes in between, maybe 40 pictures all together. i think he got a great deal but we live in a small town and things seem to run cheaper here compared to the rest of the women on y answers

Well my kids aren't old enough yet but when I had my senior pics taken it cost about $200-$250 dollars and that was pretty steep. We got to keep a portfolio of all the poses. I had about 3 -4 different poses and mom got a huge portrait thrown in the deal for ordering. You could get a basic package for yourself and take them somewhere or do them yourself on the computer to enlarge or make more copies. I do that with my little ones now with their school pictures. It can save alot of money. Senior year is expensive enough it's nice to save when you can.

We are going through that right now with my step-daughter. We checked around at the area studios and this is the cheapest deal we found. We have 5 different poses of her, we get 4 8x10, 8 5x7, and 200 wallet plus all of the proofs of all the pics that were taken in an album and the total price is $375. It is highway robbery. We decided that instead we are going to do them ourself with the digital camera putting them on a memory card, then we will go to Wal-Mart and have them developed in whatever size we want and figure we can get all of them for less than $100.

When I was a senior in 1995, a photographer came to the school and took the pictures. There was no sitting fee. When we got the proofs, the cheapest package was $200. I never bought them and neither did my parents. If you wanted to keep the proofs, they charged you $40 and the word "proof" was stamped through the bottom of them. Wal-Mart is WAY better on pricing. Good luck.

Senior Pics are outrageous. Meet a photographer in middle Nebraska who will take digital photos, enhance them on the computer - extremely creative with special effects - only $25 and you keep the proofs! Individual photos prices are extremely affordable. Go to gregergraphics.com
Why does she do this? Because her (my) senior pics sucked and I paid WAY too much for them. Plus, the senior year is expensive enough.

My senior pic's back about 12 yrs. ago were $260.00 I got all my negatives a 10x13 w/frame, 8x10, and wallets of three poses. I really loved the pictures and keep them in a box with my cap & gown. I am pretty sure that my own children's will be much higher, although my oldest wants me to do his senior photo's with a digital because we can do them anywhere at anytime...I took pictures of all my kids outside for their school pictures and they came out wonderful...take the memory to wal-mart and you can have as many large to wallets as you want!

I don't have kids, but my seniro year we had to go to a photgrahper outside of the school. The sitting was free, but the pictures themselves were pretty steep. I got a portfolio that had 8 5x7's and it was aroun $250.. but then again, I graduated in 2002. Seniro year is really really really expensive.. that's why my parents made me get a job.. lol

Way too much those things are so expensive. There also copywritten so you have to go back to the photographer for more copies. I dont remember the exact price of mine but i know it was ridiculous. Another thing you might wana know is that you dont have to buy pictures from the people who do them for the yearbook. They make you feel that way but I didnt because you can often find another place cheaper.

I purchased my own senior pictures, and they were like $450. 00 but I changed clothes about about 6 times, had about 35 different poses and got about 200 pictures, all sizes.
