A guy that I started seeing told me that his job is paying to send him to Paris for a conference for 4 days. I like him, but I have a hard time believing that any company is going to send a 21-year-old employee with no degree, who doesn't speak French, on any kind of expense-paid trip. Am I missing something?

My gut tells me he isn't telling the truth. But sometimes ones gut can be wrong. Even the largest companies in the world don't just spend money without thinking.

i guess you have the right to doubt, i suggest you better ask his office mates, but ask in a way that is not-so-obvious-manner.

it depends on what his job is and the company he works for, but i doubt it and you have a right to be suspicious
