This Site Might Help You.
RE:
Where can I find affordable wedding cakes in or near Temecula, California for a budget of $150.00 or less?
The cake I am looking for serves 40 people or less. I posted an earlier question but the bakery suggested in the answers will not deliver to Temecula.

I give this 10 hugs! ma wrote one the other day that spoke to me on an intuitive level. Deep as if connected I felt her poem. I know this poem and wish I could have come up with the tools you used to deliver it- I love the way you chose the dictionary, calendar, well meaning and future hope. I really don't think some people will ever feel the realization of deeper understanding. This leaves me with remembering the grief that I am truly alone because nothing and no one can at times make it better. My spirituality is the only porthole and even then because I am not perfect, I doubt. I know I've "gone off" from where this lead but lol that is me. BTW- Love the last line so very much.

Try going to your local grocery store.
While you may not think that it would be worth a try, my sister-in-law purchased her wedding cake there for $150, and it fed 200 people!
Best advice: get a sheet cake to serve the actual cake. It'll cut the cost dramatically. Have your baker decorate cardboard resemblences to a cake with a real topper. It works just as well.

try going to www.cakecentral.com. it's a website of ladies (some amatures) who are into cake decorating from all over the country. if you sign up for a free account you should be able to ask them how much they charge and see a sample of some of their cakes (which are not all wedding cakes). most ladies have done cakes for friends or family and are looking to branch out. you could get a great deal that way.

i actually worked at vons - and my brother worked in the vons bakery for a while - some of them do beautiful wedding cakes. i got married in rancho bernardo (near poway) and used "it's a piece of cake" (http://www.weddingcompass.com/ServiceDetails.cfm?id=607) for a wedding with just shy of 50 guests - it wasn't quite the color i wanted, but i also didn't bring in a sample of the color i wanted (i planned it start to finish in 11 days, so i'm not upset with anyone... i believe the cake was $125) but none the less the cake was beautiful! let me know if you want a pic (if that isn't too far away) - i chose that as opposed to vons because my pain sister couldn't keep her damn nose out of MY wedding - but i digress, it was lovely... but just so you know, so long as your vons has a good head baker you can get a lovely cake there as well.

Any Walmart that has a bakery makes wedding cakes and surprisingly they taste pretty good. Also, Safeways make really good wedding cakes.

You should just get sheet cakes from your local bakery. They are very affordable and taste the same, if not better!!
