I should mention that we dated briefly and broke up 10 months ago, and we never had the chance to go. Am I wrong for wanting to take a girl that i could be falling in love with?

Tell her that she is just another casualty of war

If you broke up with her and haven't been dating, what's her beef? Breaking up means just that, that you aren't dating and aren't expected to go out any longer. Who does she think she is? Sounds like you were right in breaking up with her because she seems to be a control freak and can't stand it if she isn't the center of attention. Tell her to leave you alone and take a hike, one preferably with a full field pack, a large dose of Ex-lax pills and no facilities available for miles.

Take the new girl to the ball. Having been to several military balls, I can say that you will have a good time without the freak.

Technically, you're good, you at the instant are not required via regulation or protection tension regulation to attend the ball. regardless of if, except you're on duty, leave, or different form of task, you will attend the ball. The Marine Corps ball is between the biggest activities of the 300 and sixty 5 days for Marines. do no longer difficulty scuffling with it. you will lose. they at the instant are not meant to tension you to do any off-duty activities that require you to spend money. regardless of if, because of the fact you're issued a uniform, you does no longer ought to take a position in buying or renting clothing to placed on. in case you won't be in a position to locate the money for the cost ticket, there are continually SNCOs and officers who donate tickets for junior Marines.

She is just jealous and if you let her get in the way of taking your girlfriend that you think might be getting serious then i would take her. If she was really a friend and not just a ex girlfriend then she would be happy that you were taking someone that you care about. Just remember leave the past behind you. You can only move forward not backwards.

no you should go ahead !
i think this other girl still has feeling for u ! and she feels that you should be giving her more importance than your girlfrnd !
dont let it bother you ! she is just being a lil unreasonable !
talk to her later and try spending some time with her if ur gf doesnt mind ! mayb u 3 could hang out 2gether ! go bowling or somethign !
then mayb shell get it tat u are in love with someone else and tat she has no chance !
tc

No, you are not wrong.

Why is this girl, essentially an Ex, upset anyways? Is ther some feelings or connection there that wasn't mentioned?

Did you tell your ex you would take her? Even if you did she should understand you wanting to take your girlfriend. Sounds like the ex is just jealous.

No, you shouldn't feel bad for wanting to take the girl that you may love in lieu of the one that you know that you don't.
