cuz it was dumb but i do agree with not calling them french fries. they arent french. the idea came from Belgium anyway. so they should be Belgian fries (even tho french fries sounds better)

but if we kept freedom fries would we have to call it freedom vanilla and freedom toast and freedom manicures and all that cr@p?

The whole Idea behind freedom fries was a propaganda push by the government to show its disdain to the french by not supporting the war in Iraq. As the war went on and people realized you can't make another country agree with you, everyone just realized there was no need to put the french off. Also everyone did not stop calling them french fries, just the republicans and good ole boys.

Because they have been called "French Fries" For so long that It was dumb to change the name.

It would almost be like us boycotting Pizza because of Italy. Kinda sorta in a way. Who is is hurting? Us not the other guy If I had to boyott Pizza OR French Fries I would Die I swear.

Here's a better example though Are you going to call French Dressing "Freedom Dressing"? Just kinda sounds silly.

It was a dumbarse thing to do in the first place.

In France they're Pommes Frites and they laughed their french backsides off at the lame bid to change the name of them. They're just fried potatoes, not exactly a deeply hurtful or meaningful stand of protest.

Eventually, most people realized the true asininity of doing this. Plus the fact that France was right put a damper on it.

James Watt who replaced into the Secretary of the interior interior the Reagan administration replaced the emblem on the letterheads and all different documents containing the emblem ,or seal in case you like the emblem of the interior replaced right into a Buffalo dealing with left. He had it replaced to stand good. are you able to think of of something sillier than that?
