aftertaste is yuck! Is there a better one out there?

most of the zinc in coldeze, which is what is treating the cold, is destroyed by the gastric juices in your mouth and stomach. Suggest you use Zicam nasal swabs. Then the zinc is directly absorbed into the blood stream through your nasal mucousa. Follow the instructions. I prefer swabs to the spray because the spray can get too far into your nasal passages and then it burns.

Zinc is classified as a metal; hence the metallic taste.
Unfortunately, the aftertaste is not easily masked and you want it to coat your throat so no trying to drink of chew mints after you suck on a lozenge.

Lozenges only cure the symptom not the cause of your sore throat. Go to the health store and get Colloidal Silver (the kind with the spray attachment) and spray in your nose and in your mouth every 2-3 hours and it should clear up in a few days. Colloidal silver will kill the bacteria that is causing your sore throat.
