Merry Meet!

An excellent resource to check out is http://www.mysticwicks.com

Also do a ton of research becasue that's something you will always need to do. Browse through the books at Borders or Barnes & Noble in the metaphysical section. Usually they let you sit down for awhile and skim through them before you buy anything.

Most people hate her but I found Silver Ravenwolf's books to be easiest for a beginner. Most recommend Scott Cunningham instead but I could not understand anything he wrote and I am not unintelligent.

Also, any tools that you purchase, make sure they are new. If you get anything used, it will have someone else's energy on it. For this reason, I would recommend staying as far away as you can from Ebay for supplies becasue there is no way to guarantee, even with their promises, that the item is brand new. If you order online from Llewelyn (I know I butchered that spelling but it is the same name as the publishing company for Silver Ravenwolf, Scott Cunningham and others) or from local stores, then you don't have anything to worry about.

a million.) Unknown. i've got considered no examine executed in this. 2.) The Lord and female, the triple Goddess and the Horned God. The coaching (as I are conscious of it) is that all and sundry of existence is duality and the union between the masculine thought and the female thought creates all issues. The names of the deities could selection counting on the gang or individual training, yet they could continuously fall below the "Lord and female" call and oftentimes the Goddes has a triple component on a similar time as the God is considered as lord of the wilds and forests. 3.) existence objective? To do nor injury, i think. to hit upon connection and cohesion with deity. Unifying with deity is the objective of in basic terms approximately all religions. 4.) maximum Wiccans look to have faith interior the summerland and reincarnation. Burial rituals selection counting on the cultural bent of the guy practitioner. The ideals approximately dying and the afterlife look much less substantial then the ideals approximately existence itself. 5.) Wicca teaches its very own type of witchcraft and maximum Wiccans artwork interior of that framework with proposal from different varieties further in. different then witchcraft, Wicca has celebratory rituals, which incorporate those to nicely known trip journeys and to nicely known rites of passage (initiation, ordination, coming of age, croneing etc) 6.) The value of the Goddess is oftentimes pronounced as an substantial text textile for Wiccans. Then, needless to say, there are the various books on Wicca, no longer the least of which could be written by capacity of authors which incorporate Gerald Gardner (the founder), Raymond Buckland and Scott Cunningham. -Scarlet

You can email me through this forum. I don't know where you live, but check your local area for classes and such. That's how I really started learning about the path. Also, look for books by Silver Ravenwolf. There's a lot out there by him. I saw him speak at a Pagan Pride festival last year, and the man is just inspiring. Very knowledgable and peaceful.

Good luck on your path. there are some good Wiccans that can give great advice here but do be very careful of what advice you take as there is some negligible information out there and also you open yourself up to a lot of attract from haters.

I would look at witchvox - they have contacts for most areas and perhaps you could find someone locally to be a mentor.

Read Read Read. Study. Learn. And always go with your gut. If it doesnt look or sound right to you...then whatever it is, isnt for you. Never believe just because you are taught. Believe because you feel it is right!

I have some wiccan friends. Most of them do not share what they really believe what is the point of this religion when you cannot share what you believe with anyone yet religion is supposed to be about adding to ones characters or making ones life better.
